Local manufacturer Berlin Industries, makers of Farrier's Magic and Zim's Crack Creme is sponsoring our Tommy Garland Clinic in July. They are also going to be at the Ohio Horseman’s Council Obstacle Course Fundraiser here at Amoroso Equestrian Center on June 25th.

Berlin Industries manufactures Farrier’s Magic hoof supplements, Flex-N-Motion joint supplements (my favorite), Zims Crack crème and many other horse related products. They will be sponsoring a great gift basket to the winner of the Obstacle Course and other assorted prizes.

Tommy Garland July 15 - 17, 2011

This year's clinic is "Problem Solving and Confidence Building".
Three days starting on Friday, July 15 and running through Sunday, July 17, 2011.

This is a hands-on clinic with unprecedented access for both participants and spectators to ask their questions and address their needs. We want to limit horse and rider combinations to 10 per day, but there are plenty of audit (spectator) tickets available.

What you will learn:

• Tommy always teaches his groundwork techniques for confidence and control. If you are a novice rider or have a horse that is new to you, this is what you do not want to miss.
• Confidence in the saddle is next. If you are merely looking for a great pleasure riding experience, this is for you.
• Speed control - clues to make those smooth transitions. Is your horse too fast? No get up and go? Won't maintain the gait? Want to fix it?
• Trailer loading and anxiety on the road - we already have a participant who is super interested in this topic. I don't think he will be alone.
• With this small of a group, you bring your particular concern and Tommy will address it. Did you ever think you would be able to get personal help from a top professional? The answer is YES. Don't miss your chance!

Cost for horse and rider is $250 per day, if you want all 3 days, you have priority over all others.
Cost for auditing (person with no horse) is $35 per day.
Stalls are available for rental the day before and during all clinic days. Call for details.

A small deposit reserves your spot. If you have a particular problem you would like Tommy to address, please let us know. Beginning riders are welcome, but stallions are not, sorry. Riders under 18 year old must wear helmets.

Obstacle Course 2011

This will be the second time we have this event, and it great fun for a great cause. OHC of Portage County fundraiser to fix the trails at West Branch.

Refreshments will be provided by the Spinning Spurs 4-H Riding Club. Help them raise money to go to the Portage County Fair.
